Lit Circle Assignment #2
Choose ONE of the following options. This assignment is due to be shared on Wed. May 21. ** Note, please put page numbers beside all quotations.
1. Soundtrack for the novel. Choose 3 songs that represent a key element of the novel. (Could link to a key theme, a character, or a symbol.) Explain why each song represents an element of the novel. Include a quote from each song, and a specific reference (or a direct quote) from the novel to match each song.
2. Take 3 photographs (or create 3 images) that represent something connected to the novel. (Could link to a key theme, a character, or a symbol). Explain why each photo represents an element of the novel. You must also choose a quote from the novel that matches each photograph.
3. Create a twitter profile for a character in the novel and have him/her tweet 10+ significant comments based on events that have happened so far in the book. The tweets would reveal the characters’s perspective, motivation or personality. Use hashtags to show understanding of character traits, or key themes demonstrated. Include a minimum of 3 quotes in the tweets or character profile.
4. Re-write a key scene from the book from the perspective of a different character.
5. Create a VINE video that either represents a character or a theme (could be a GENERAL theme from English 12 FP). This option is similar to the artist/illustrator option from Lit Circle 1 and requires a written explanation of what is going on in the video.
6. Write a letter to a character in the book giving that character advice. You must include 3 quotes in your letter. The quotes could be examples of things that the character said or the quotes could refer to themes.
7. Write a song or rap that captures the novel so far or that is written from the perspective of a character. The song must have 10 specific details that connect directly to the book. (These details could be character names, key events, symbols, themes, quotes etc.)
